Events for Potential Ordinands

Our usual pattern of hospitality for potential ordinands is the Thursday guest night: tea at 4pm, a guided tour of the college, Sung Evening Prayer at 6pm, drinks in the Common Room, 7pm formal dinner (dress code is formal). Potential ordinands are very welcome to stay overnight and have some further conversations / interviews with staff on the Friday morning. If, however, a Thursday night is not convenient, we can welcome potential ordinands on a weekend. Arrival on a Saturday afternoon / evening and join the community on Sunday morning for Morning Prayer, 8.30am in the House Chapel, breakfast at 9am; Sung Mass, 10.30am; coffee and tea in the Common Room, 11.30am, and lunch, 12.30pm. In the context of a Sunday we can facilitate some conversations with staff too and explore academic and formational routes with candidates.

Candidates might like to send us a short paragraph about themselves: age, home parish, sponsoring Diocese, academic background, marital status etc. This will help us prepare an offer for each potential ordinand.
